Dr. Donell Harvin

Dr. Donell Harvin, DrPH, serves as Graduate Faculty at Georgetown University School of Continuing Studies in the Master's in Emergency & Disaster Management and Master's in Applied Intelligence programs. In addition, Dr. Harvin holds positions as a Visiting Scientist and CBRNE Education Program Co-Lead at the Harvard Humanitarian Initiative, where the focus is on developing training and protocols for humanitarian missions. Dr. Harvin contributes expertise as a Visiting Fellow at the National Security Institute and as a Subject Matter Expert for the United Nations and INTERPOL, specializing in the protection of vulnerable targets and bioterrorism prevention. With experience in homeland security analysis for NBC and MSNBC, Dr. Harvin also instructs at the Naval Postgraduate School and previously chaired the Protective Security & Major Events at the Counter Terrorism Preparedness Network. Dr. Harvin's extensive educational background includes a Doctor of Public Health in Environmental Science/Environmental Epidemiology and multiple advanced degrees in public health, emergency management, and related fields.
