Yasser Baki is an experienced policy advisor with a significant background in humanitarian affairs and international relations. Since February 2022, Yasser Baki has been serving in the Executive Office of the Secretary-General at the United Nations, focused on the Summit of the Future. Prior to this, from November 2015 to February 2022, Yasser Baki held multiple roles at the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs, including Head of COVID-19 Policy and Chief of Staff. Yasser Baki also worked as First Secretary for Peacebuilding and Humanitarian Affairs at the UK Mission to the United Nations from September 2011 to September 2015. Earlier in the career, Yasser Baki served as Deputy Head of the Libya Unit and Private Secretary to the Secretary of State at the Department for International Development. Yasser Baki holds a Master of Public Administration in International Relations and Affairs from Harvard Kennedy School and a Master of Arts in Social and Political Sciences from the University of Cambridge.
