Zia Khan

Chief Board Of Inquiry Unit

Zia Khan serves as the Chief of the Occupational Safety & Health Unit at MONUSCO since March 2022, providing technical support and guidance to promote safety culture within the organization. With extensive experience in various roles including Chief of the Board of Inquiry Unit at both UNAMID and the United Nations Department of Field Support since 2008, Zia has honed skills as a police officer, investigator, and evidence processing expert. Zia has participated in critical investigations, including the United Nations’ first murder investigation related to the assassination of former Prime Minister Rafic Hariri. Previous positions include Regional Security Officer at UNMIL and Security Professional at Johns Hopkins Medicine. Zia holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and History from the University of the Punjab and an Associate’s Degree in Accounting and Banking from MAO College, Lahore.
