Halima Thorsen

Halima Thorsen, DPT, currently serves as a UTNC Union Officer at UNAC/UHCP since April 2022, while also holding the position of Senior Physical Therapist at The Permanente Medical Group since June 2010. Thorsen has extensive experience in physical therapy, having worked at UCSF Medical Center and St. Mary's Medical Center, San Francisco. In roles such as Project Union Representative and Labor Bargaining Team Representative, Thorsen contributed significantly to union activities and securing labor contracts for therapy groups. Thorsen is also an experienced business owner of Tuuli Orthopedic Physical Therapy and has held roles such as Spine Clinical Specialist at Meriter Hospital. Thorsen's educational background includes a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Creighton University and current studies for a Master of Law Studies at Golden Gate University.
