Jason Kechijian

Jason Kechijian has extensive work experience in the renewable energy industry, particularly in solar photovoltaic (PV) design and construction. Jason has held various roles in different companies throughout their career.

Starting in 2009, Jason worked as a Project Manager and Solar Design Contractor at SolarTEK Energy, where they managed solar PV and solar thermal systems design and installation. Jason also conducted educational seminars for professional trade associations.

In 2010, Jason joined Bonterra Solar as the Director of the Commercial PV Division. Jason established a market presence in South Carolina and later moved to Hawaii to lead the development of the commercial solar division. Jason supervised and trained sales staff on the commercial PV process and developed marketing materials and proposals.

From 2011 to 2012, Jason worked at SunEnergy1 as a Project Manager and PV Systems Design Engineer. Jason managed large-scale commercial solar installations and designed permit-ready packages for Fortune 500 clients.

During the same period, Jason also worked as a self-employed Solar Professional, providing consulting and advisory services to solar PV and solar thermal industries. Jason assisted local solar companies in establishing themselves and offered training, marketing concepts, system design support, and project management services.

From 2012 to 2018, Jason held multiple positions at Solbright Group, Inc., including Senior Project Engineer and Head of Systems & Engineering. Jason contributed to the company's strategic offerings in the Internet of Things (IoT) technology space.

In 2018, Jason became the VP of Engineering at Iota Communications, Inc., where they played a key role in merging Solbright with M2M to create Iota Communications. Jason focused on improving building performance to minimize energy costs.

From 2019 to 2022, Jason worked at Southern Current LLC as a Program Manager and Project Manager - EPC. Jason provided strategic guidance to staff members and managed various aspects of PV design and construction.

In 2021, Jason joined SolAmerica Energy as a Project Manager, responsible for overseeing solar projects.

Currently, Jason is working at United Renewable Energy, LLC as a Program Manager. Jason serves as a technical resource for the operations and sales team, providing guidance in PV design and construction. Jason also supports EPC sales by assisting with plan development, estimating, and reviewing proposals.

Jason Kechijian's education history includes a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Business Administration from the College of Charleston, which they obtained from 1996 to 2000. In 2009, they pursued a Solar Professionals Certificate Program from Solar Energy International (SEI), specializing in Photovoltaics. Jason also completed a Renewable Energies Diploma Program in Solar Energy Technology/Technician from North Carolina State University in 2009. Furthermore, Jason received a Professional Continuing Education in Batteries and Storage from HeatSpring in 2017.
