John Fahey

John Fahey is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in internal audit and financial planning. Currently serving as Vice President of Internal Audit at United Rentals since December 2014, John oversees all internal audit activities across 900 locations, including sustainability and safety initiatives, SOX compliance, and enterprise risk management. Prior to this role, John held various positions at United Rentals Inc. from 2005 to 2014, including Vice President, Controller, and Principal Accounting Officer, where responsibilities included financial reporting and strategic budgeting. John's previous experience includes leadership roles at Xerox Corporation, Xerox Engineering Systems, Faulding, Inc., and Deloitte and Touche. John holds a BBA in Public Accounting from Pace University-Pleasantville/Briarcliff Campus, earned in 1988.
