John Jansen

Vice President, Oil Strategy at United Soybean Board

John Jansen has over 35 years of experience in the food and ingredients business. John began their career in 1984 at Bunge North America as a Midwest Food Processor Territory Manager, where they marketed soybean oil, corn oil, and lard tallow to major accounts in specialty markets. John then progressed to the role of Food Processor Area Manager, Vice-President Sales and Marketing Oils, and Senior Vice President Product Management. During their time in this role, they established Bunge as an industry innovator and solution provider, and linked Research, Technical Service, QA and Regulatory Compliance activities directly to prospects and customers in the new business development, food service, food processor and non-food channels.

In 2016, John Jansen moved to Lipids LLC, where they served as President. In 2015, they joined the United Soybean Board as Vice President, Oil Strategy. In this role, they were a strategic leader responsible for providing vision and advancing soybean oil strategy and initiatives on behalf of U.S. Soybean growers.

John Jansen graduated from North Central College with a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Business Administration and Management, General.
