Shawkat Muslimwal

Shawkat Muslimwal is an experienced economist with a diverse background in data analysis and business intelligence. Currently serving as an Economist at both Smithbucklin and the United Soybean Board, Shawkat also holds the position of Fulbright Scholar at the U.S. Department of State. Prior roles include Business Analyst at NISA Investment Advisors, LLC, and Senior Data Analyst for the Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development, where Shawkat utilized randomized experiments to improve development projects in Afghanistan. Previous experience includes analytical roles at Habibi Translation and Research Company and The Asia Foundation, alongside a background in business intelligence at Etisalat Afghanistan. Shawkat holds a Master of Science in Economics from Southern Illinois University and a Bachelor of Arts in Econometrics and Statistics from Kabul University.
