Matt Freck

Matt Freck is an experienced professional with a diverse background in nuclear operations, military leadership, and engineering quality management. Currently serving as a Senior Reactor Operator at Southern Company since 2008, Freck obtained a Senior Reactor Operator License in 2012 and has held multiple supervisory roles within the Operations Department. In parallel, Freck serves as the HHC Commanding Officer for the 1st Medical Training Brigade in the US Army, with a career that includes various leadership positions focused on training and operations. Previous roles include Supplier Technical Advisor at BorgWarner, Senior Supplier Development Engineer at Invensys, Lead Quality Engineer at Honeywell, and Nuclear Power Plant Operator/Navy Diver in the US Navy, where significant responsibilities included quality assurance, process improvement, and operational training. Freck holds advanced degrees in Operations Management and General Management, as well as a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering.
