Lina Garcia is currently serving as the Assistant Executive Director for International Affairs at the United States Conference of Mayors since May 2022, focusing on leading international partnership initiatives to elevate U.S. interests. Previously, Lina held multiple roles, including Director of International Affairs at Results for America (Bloomberg Philanthropies) from November 2014 to November 2017, where responsibilities included managing external partnerships and organizing an annual panel at SXSW Interactive Festival. Lina's experience spans several significant positions at the United States Conference of Mayors, starting as Press Secretary in 2003 and progressing to Director of Communications and Grassroots, Media Strategist & Director of International Affairs, and eventually to the current role. Additional experience includes serving as Media Director for the U.S. Department of Labor under the Obama Administration and leading arts advocacy campaigns at Americans for the Arts. Educational background includes a Bachelor's degree in International/Global Studies from The George Washington University.
