Carson Smith

Carson Smith is a law student at The University of Texas School of Law, expected to graduate with a Doctor of Law in May 2024. Current experience includes a role as a Summer Law Clerk at the Mexican American Legal Defense and Educational Fund, focusing on redistricting litigation and drafting legal motions. Previous positions include serving as a Paralegal at the Law Office of Julie Pennington, where case management skills were developed, and conducting research for Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) related to global policy issues. Involvement with the Sowers of Peace Foundation in Colombia included providing educational support to displaced families, while earlier experience included a Field Director role for a political campaign and working at the University of Michigan's Office of Undergraduate Admissions. Carson holds a Bachelor's Degree in Public Policy from the University of Michigan, earned in 2017.
