Term Law Clerk To The Honorable Jill A. Morris at United States Courts

MacKenzie Leonard is currently serving as a Term Law Clerk to the Honorable Jill A. Morris at the United States Courts since August 2023. Previously, MacKenzie held the position of Judicial Intern for Federal Magistrate Judge Jill Morris at the U.S. Courts, Western District of Missouri, and completed internships at the U.S. Bankruptcy Courts and United States Attorneys' Offices, focusing on law related to violent crime and drug trafficking. In addition to legal internships, MacKenzie was an active Structured Study Group Leader and Teaching Assistant in both Contract Law and Criminal Law at the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law, where MacKenzie also contributed as a staff member of the UMKC Law Review. Early professional experiences include working as a File Clerk at McAnany Van Cleave & Phillips and as a Swim Instructor at the University of Missouri Rec Complex. MacKenzie earned a Juris Doctorate from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
