Ryan has also contributed to Project Transition USA, a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting transitioning military veterans in finding civilian careers.

Ryan S. has a diverse education history in the field of information technology and cybersecurity. In 2013, they attended Southern New Hampshire University and earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Information Technology, which they completed in 2016. In 2017, they participated in various workshops and programs, including the Web Application PenTesting Workshop and MetaSploit Workshop at the ISC(2) Central Florida Chapter, as well as the SEC504: Hacker Tools, Techniques, Exploits, and Incident Handling program at the SANS Technology Institute. Additionally, they attended the U.S. Coast Guard Leadership and Management School in the same year.

Continuing their education in cybersecurity, Ryan pursued several bootcamps and courses. In 2020, they enrolled in The Pentester Academy's Web Application Security Bootcamp and the O'Reilly School of Technology's Ethical Hacking Bootcamp with Hands-on Labs. Ryan also holds the CompTIA PenTest+ ce Certification from CompTIA, achieved in June 2022. Furthermore, they obtained the GIAC Certified Incident Handler (GCIH) certification from GIAC Certifications in November 2018 and the Investigations on the Deep Web (TOR) certification from McAfee Institute in January 2018. Additionally, Ryan holds the Datto Certified Deployment Specialist (DCDS) certification from Datto, Inc., which they obtained in November 2020, as well as the SQL Fundamentals certification from SoloLearn, acquired in December 2017.
