David Leitch

David Leitch is a distinguished legal and executive professional with extensive experience in high-level positions across various organizations. Currently serving as a member of the Executive Committee at the United States Golf Association since February 2024 and as a Director at First Citizens Bank since January 2024, David has a noteworthy background that includes retired leadership roles such as Vice Chair and Global General Counsel at Bank of America from January 2016. Previously, David held the position of Group Vice President & General Counsel at Ford Motor Company from 2005 to 2015 and served at The White House as Deputy Counsel and Deputy Assistant to the President from December 2002 to March 2005. Additional significant roles include Chief Counsel at the Federal Aviation Administration, Partner at Hogan & Hartson, and Deputy Assistant Attorney General at the U.S. Department of Justice. David began a legal career as a law clerk for the Supreme Court of the U.S. after earning a Juris Doctor from the University of Virginia School of Law and a Bachelor’s Degree in Public Policy Studies from Duke University.
