Felix Bivens

Felix Bivens serves as the Director at Empyrean Research since January 2015, focusing on teaching, community research, international development, and mentoring social change agents. Holding the position of Associate Editor for The Action Research Journal since 2020, Felix reviews manuscripts and contributes to developmental editing. Additionally, as a Participatory Action Research Consultant and Trainer for the United States, Felix facilitates community peacebuilding research and training in various countries. With extensive freelance consulting experience in institutional change, program evaluation, and research facilitation since 2008, Felix has also co-founded The Regenerative School and held academic appointments at institutions like Northeastern University and Future Generations Graduate School. Educational credentials include a PhD in International Development Studies from the Institute of Development Studies, an MSc from the London School of Economics, and a BA in English Literature and Political Science from The University of the South.
