Katherine Waters

Katherine Waters is a dedicated professional in climate, environment, and conflict studies with extensive experience in program support and analysis. Currently serving as a Climate, Environment and Conflict Senior Program Assistant at the United States Institute of Peace, Katherine previously worked as a Program Analyst and Apprentice at the Institute for Climate and Peace, where contributions included building partnerships and enhancing expertise in climate policy and peacebuilding. Prior roles include an internship at the US Environmental Protection Agency, where research on environmental justice policies was conducted, and a research intern position at ReGrid Energy Policy Consulting, focusing on greenhouse gas regulation. Katherine also has experience in political campaign efforts and academic support, holding a Bachelor of Arts in International/Global Studies from Middlebury College.
