Nicolas Devia-Valbuena is a Regional Program Specialist at the United States Institute of Peace since March 2020, with previous roles including Research Analyst, Project Assistant, Senior Research Associate, and Research Assistant at the same institution. Prior to this, Nicolas served as a Research Fellow at the Washington Office on Latin America from June 2019 to December 2019 and worked as a Foreign Trade Analyst at Promexico in late 2018. Additional experience includes an internship with the Organization of American States and a volunteer position at ColombiaCrece. Nicolas holds a Master's degree in Security Policy Studies from The George Washington University and a Bachelor's degree in International Relations and Affairs from Universidad del Rosario. Further educational qualifications include a Certificate of attendance in International Law from American University, a C1 level in Second Language Learning from Alliance Française Bogotá, and a high school diploma from Colegio Calasanz Bogotá.
