Sean Segears

Sean Segears is a legal professional with extensive experience in various roles within the legal field. Currently serving as Counsel for Athlete Affairs & Operations at the United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee since February 2024, Sean's previous positions include Senior Counsel at Interpublic Group from September 2022 to February 2024, and Associate General Counsel at the Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission from February 2019 to September 2022, where Sean also held the role of Assistant General Counsel. Prior experience includes serving as a Trademark Examining Attorney at the USPTO, a Judicial Law Clerk for the Honorable Judge Dwight D. Jackson in the Seventh Judicial Circuit of Maryland, a Law Clerk at Kelley Drye & Warren LLP, and a Legal Intern at Dow Lohnes. Sean earned a Doctor of Law (JD) from Howard University School of Law in 2014 and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Management from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2011, following a high school education at Eleanor Roosevelt High School.
