Mike Gennette

President, California at United States Professional Tennis Association

Mike Gennette has a diverse work experience in the field of tennis. Mike started their career at California Lutheran University in 1993 as the Head Coach for both Men's and Women's tennis teams. Mike also held the position of Men's Tennis Coach and Tennis Director during the same period. Gennette continued their involvement in the tennis industry by becoming the President of the California division of the United States Professional Tennis Association in 2013. Alongside their coaching and administrative roles, Gennette also owned the Total Tennis Academy, which they established in 1992.

Mike Gennette's education history begins with their certification as a Player Development Specialist by the USPTA, which they completed by 2005. Prior to that, from 1987 to 1991, they attended California Lutheran University, where they pursued studies in Business, Management, Marketing, and Related Support Services. Before their time at California Lutheran University, Mike Gennette attended Moorpark College from 1985 to 1987, where they focused on General Education. Following their certification by the USPTA, they completed the High Performance Coaching Program offered by USTA in 2005, earning a degree in Coaching.
