Sofia Rivero

Sofia Rivero serves as the Coordinator of Competitions at the U.S. Soccer Federation since September 2023. Previously, Rivero held the position of Sports Operation and Branding Associate at Chicago Public Schools from August 2022 to October 2023, after completing an internship in the same department. Rivero also worked as the Athletic Facilities and Operations Coordinator at the University of Illinois Chicago from August 2021 to August 2023. Earlier experience includes the role of Marketing and Public Relations Manager at Pilsen Athletic FC, a start-up non-profit football club dedicated to developing student athletes in underserved communities. Educational credentials include a Bachelor of Science in Economics with a minor in Art History from the University of Illinois Chicago and an Associate of Arts and Sciences from Trinidad State College.
