David Coombes

David Coombes has extensive experience in labor relations and operational management, currently serving as the Department Manager of Labor Relations at US Steel's Granite City Works since June 2000. Prior roles at US Steel include Manager of Labor Relations for Gary West, Staff Supervisor in both Labor Relations and Safety, as well as Operations Manager. Prior to his tenure at US Steel, David Coombes served in the US Army from February 1990 to May 2000, holding positions as an Officer and Enlisted personnel. Academic credentials include a Juris Doctor degree in Law from Birmingham School of Law (2006-2009) and a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science and Military Science from Northern Illinois University (1989-1994).
