Al Vega

Al Vega has an extensive background in policy advocacy and community engagement, currently serving as Chief of Strategy & Engagement at the Massachusetts Coalition for Occupational Safety & Health since October 2009, where responsibilities include building partnerships with Boston Public Schools and leading environmental health initiatives. Vega's experience also includes roles such as Director of Policy & Programs and Interim Executive Director at MassCOSH, alongside serving as Operations Manager at the Labor Council for Latin American Advancement since November 2021. Additionally, Vega has held leadership positions with the United Steelworkers, where responsibilities include Union Staff President and Greater Boston Chapter President. Educational qualifications include a Certification from Harvard University's Trade Union Program and a Bachelor's Degree in Urban Studies/Affairs from Boston University.
