Catherine Houston

Catherine Houston serves as a Board Member for the BlueGreen Alliance Foundation since February 2007 and is a member of Californians for a Healthy & Green Economy since June 2013. Houston has been actively involved with the California Trade Justice Coalition as an Executive Board Member since April 2017. In addition, Houston holds the position of Political and Rapid Response Coordinator at United Steelworkers (USW) since April 1996, along with roles in District Policy & Legislation and as an LGBTQ+ Advisory Representative. Board Member duties for the North Valley Labor Federation commenced in July 2015, and an Executive Board Member role for the San Joaquin/Calaveras Central Labor Council, AFL-CIO began in February 2013. Previous service includes planning and membership on the Board of Zoning Adjustments for the City of San Leandro from 2010 to February 2021. Catherine Houston earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Education/Liberal Arts from San José State University.
