Dirk Swart has extensive experience in the food ingredient industry, particularly in the sugar products sector. Dirk started their career at Northern Ohio Brokers, Inc. and went on to work at Great Western Sugar Company and Northern Ohio Sugar Company, where they exceeded goals and penetrated new territories in sales. From 1982 to 1991, Dirk held the role of Manager, Consumer Products Sales & Marketing at American Crystal Sugar Company, where they developed strategic marketing plans and built a top-performing sales team. Dirk then transitioned to the role of National Account Sales Manager, Industrial Products at American Crystal Sugar Company from 1991 to 1994. In 1994, Dirk joined United Sugars as a National Account Sales Manager, and later moved up to become the Executive Vice President, a role they have held since 2015. At United Sugars, they have been instrumental in defining the strategic vision and leading the execution of business development strategies, resulting in revenue growth, market share gains, and profitability. Dirk is also responsible for managing the sales and marketing initiatives for sugar products and overseeing the operating budget.

Dirk Swart holds a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree from the University of Chicago. Dirk also completed their undergraduate studies at The University of Toledo, earning a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration (BBA).
