Dayna Cobarrubias

Dayna Cobarrubias has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Dayna currently serves as a Member at Chief, starting in May 2022. Prior to that, they were the Director of DEI at United Talent Agency, starting in June 2021. Dayna also worked as a Cultural Insights Leader at Gauge, where they connected brands with diverse cultural leaders to make inclusive decisions across products, content, and initiatives.

Before joining Gauge, Dayna held multiple roles at Teach For America. Dayna served as the Chief Operating Officer for the Los Angeles Region from September 2013 to May 2021, overseeing strategic planning, financial management, external affairs, and people operations. Additionally, they were the Vice President of Diversity & Inclusion, driving the organization's strategy for building a diverse and inclusive environment.

Dayna also had leadership positions at Teach For America, including Senior Managing Director of Regional Development from July 2010 to June 2012, Director of Design in Regional Development from October 2009 to July 2010, and Managing Director of Development for the Phoenix region from May 2006 to October 2009. In this role, they successfully raised funds and increased revenue from $1.7 million to $5 million.

Dayna began their career as a Development Officer at The Posse Foundation in 2004.

Dayna Cobarrubias pursued their education at Stanford University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from 1998 to 2002. Following this, they continued their studies at Stanford University and completed a Master of Arts degree in Sociology from 2002 to 2003.
