Tom Brannen

Tom Brannen has a diverse work experience in the financial and technology sectors. Tom has worked as the Head of Technology Solutions at United Texas Bank Dallas since 2023. Prior to this, Tom was the Director of Software Engineering and the VP, Technical Project Manager at Silvergate Bank from 2018 to 2023. Tom led engineering teams and oversaw the development of modern scalable applications. Tom also played a key role in the acquisition of blockchain network assets. Before joining Silvergate Bank, they worked at California Coast Credit Union as a Senior Manager, Info Systems and a Senior IT Project Manager from 2015 to 2018. During this time, they modernized people and process management and led strategic planning sessions. Tom also worked at BofI Federal Bank as an AVP Project Manager from 2011 to 2015, managing a large software project and serving as a portfolio manager. Tom started their career at Gensuite LLC as a Business Analyst from 2010 to 2011, managing multiple projects and implementing applications. Additionally, Tom has experience as a Micro Credit Head Office Consultant at Peace Corps, where they implemented software and network systems. Early in their career, they worked as an Outside Sales Representative at Tamarack Distributors Inc and as an Equity Trader at Fidelity Investments.

Tom Brannen earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from the University of Dayton, which they attended from 1997 to 2001. Tom later pursued a Master's degree in Information Systems from the University of Cincinnati Carl H. Lindner College of Business, completing it in 2011. In terms of additional certifications, Tom obtained a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute in December 2015. More recently, in April 2020, they received a Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) certification from the Scrum Alliance.
