Rosario Picardo

Director of Houses of Study at United Theological Seminary

Rosario Picardo is the current Director of Houses of Study at United Theological Seminary. Prior to this, Picardo served as the Executive Pastor of New Church Development at Ginghamsburg Church from June 2014 to October 2018. Before that, Picardo was a Lead Pastor at Embrace Church from January 2007 to June 2014.

Picardo's military experience includes serving as a Naval Chaplain Officer in the US Navy Reserve from August 2003 to December 2008, where they completed the rigorous tests to be accepted in the Navy’s Chaplain Candidate Program and graduated from the first session of Navy Chaplain Training in Rhode Island. Rosario also reached the rank of Lieutenant during their time in the Navy Reserve. Prior to that, Picardo served in the United States Marine Corps from August 2000 to August 2003 as a Supply Administration Clerk. During their time in the Marine Corps, Picardo successfully completed Marine Corps Recruit Training at Paris Island, South Carolina and graduated from Marine Corps Supply School Training. Rosario was also awarded Meritorious Mast by The United States Marine Corps.

Rosario Picardo has a Master of Business Administration from Dakota Wesleyan University, a Doctor of Ministry in Church Planting from United Theological Seminary, and a MDiv in Religion and Methodist Studies from Asbury Theological Seminary. Rosario also has a BA in Religion from Houghton University.

Rosario Picardo reports to Kent Millard, President. They are on a team with Sue Nilson Kibbey - Director of the Bishop Bruce Ough Innovation Center, Chip Freed - Director of the Mosaix House of Study, and Jorge Ochoa - Director of the Spanish Language House of Study.
