Erica Matsil currently serves as the Director of Social Justice and Family Engagement at Temple Emanu-El, where responsibilities include engaging families in program development and cultivating leaders in social justice. In previous roles at Temple Emanu-El, Erica was the Director of Social Justice and Young Adult Engagement, overseeing various social justice initiatives. In addition to current positions as an Elie Wiesel Social Action Fellow at Valley Beit Midrash and Richardson Ambassador for Richardson ISD, Erica holds board membership at FAITH COMMONS and leadership at Dallas Area Interfaith. As an Advisory Board Member for United to Learn, Erica supports initiatives in Dallas ISD elementary schools and has participated in various fellowships focused on civic engagement and racial equity. Erica's educational background includes a Master's degree in Public Administration from The University of Texas at Arlington and a Bachelor of Arts in Public Policy from the University of Delaware.

United to Learn
United to Learn (U2L) is a Dallas-based education nonprofit that is changing lives by transforming the relationship between schools and community. United to Learn is focused on accelerating student literacy achievement across Dallas ISD elementary schools with plans to expand to all District Title 1 schools. The key to this model is mobilizing community partnerships with businesses, high schools, faith-based organizations, individuals, and groups. Together we work to create a united, thriving community.
