As our name states, we are "The Valve Service Specialists". United Valve has been a solid participant in the valve service industry throughout the past five decades, with a customer list that includes virtually all of the top valve manufacturers, distributors and end-users in the industry. Throughout its existence, United Valve has adapted and changed its product and service offerings in response to market needs and demands. Today we provide a vast array of services from OEM manufacturing support to valve repair. Our repair capabilities include field service throughout the Western Hemisphere as well as shop repair facilities in our 108,000 sq. ft Houston plant that can handle valves weighing 40 tons or more. We specialize in the repair of metal-seated coker ball valves as well as other engineered flow control products. OEM authorized new valve modification has been a stable of United Valve for over 35 years. Major manufacturers from all over the world have authorized United Valve to perform after-market upgrades to their products. Our engineering personnel work closely with OEM engineers to meet specific end-user modification requirements and provide quality after-market upgrades. Testing is a key part of our service mix, from simple hydrostatic tests to thorough NDE evaluations. In-house 450 kV x-ray equipment gives us the capability to assess casting quality and weld integrity rapidly and to an extremely high level of accuracy. PMI, Ultrasonic, Magnetic Particle, Hardness and Dye Penetrant testing completes our NDE capabilities. Engineering testing capabilities include cryogenic testing at any temperature from 0° F to -325° F, fugitive emissions testing to ISO and API standards and fire testing to ISO and API standards. United Valve personnel are active in many industry organizations including the Valve Manufacturers Association and the Valve Repair Council. Company representatives are also active in API, MSS and ISO valve standards work. .
