Thomas Muller

Thomas Muller has a diverse work experience in the field of computer graphics and technology. Thomas is currently the CEO/CTO and Co-Founder of United Visual Researchers, where they focus on developing appearance simulation software. Prior to this, Thomas worked as an Independent Researcher and Lecturer, specializing in computer graphics. During this time, they conducted research and supervised PhD students, in addition to lecturing on topics such as light simulation, image-based lighting, and virtual reality. Thomas also served as a Research Associate at MINES ParisTech and as the CTO and Co-Founder of on-situ, a company focused on augmented reality. Thomas has also worked at PSA Peugeot Citroën, ENSAM, and Ondim, where they gained expertise in areas such as virtual reality, computer graphics, and automotive paint simulations.

Thomas Muller obtained their Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the University of Lisbon in 1997. Thomas then pursued further education and received a Master's degree in Data-processing of image and Language from Université Paul Sabatier Toulouse III in 1998. In 1999, they completed a Mastère Spécialisé in Virtual Reality from Arts et Métiers ParisTech - École Nationale Supérieure d'Arts et Métiers. Finally, Thomas obtained a PhD in Computer Science from the Conservatoire National des Arts et Métiers in 2021.
