Henry Well

Henry Well is an accomplished leader with extensive experience in nonprofit management and program development. Currently serving as President and CEO of the United Way Association of South Carolina since April 2024, Henry previously held the role of Executive Director at the South Carolina Cancer Alliance from December 2015 to April 2024. Earlier in the career, Henry was Program Director at the National Kidney Foundation and managed significant initiatives, securing funding to support community health programs. Additionally, managerial roles at the American Cancer Society involved oversight of grant opportunities and budget management across multiple states, along with fostering relationships with healthcare providers. Henry began the professional journey as a Community Specialist at the South Carolina Department of Juvenile Justice, where responsibilities included managing youth on probation. Academic qualifications include two Bachelor of Arts degrees in Sociology and History from the University of South Carolina.
