Ben Thompson

Ben Thompson has a diverse work experience that spans multiple organizations and roles. In 2017, they started as an Americorps Vista at the City of Lansing, where they coordinated services for the Lansing SAVE program and developed partnerships with local churches. Ben then became the Financial Education Coordinator, reconciling thousands of postsecondary saving's accounts for students in the Lansing School District. In 2021, Ben joined the United Way for Southeastern Michigan as a Fund Development Associate, before being promoted to Corporate Giving Manager in 2022. In this role, they implemented fundraising campaigns, oversaw sponsorship efforts, and secured new business partnerships. Currently, Ben holds the position of Director of Corporate Relations at the United Way for Southeastern Michigan, where they continue to contribute their expertise in corporate relations and fundraising.

Ben Thompson completed their education at Michigan State University from 2013 to 2017, where they earned a BASW degree in Social Work. Prior to that, they obtained their High School Diploma from Dowagiac Union High School between 2009 and 2012, specializing in General Education.
