Mis Michelle Bennett

Michelle Bennett, MIS, is a seasoned HR and engagement professional with extensive experience in both human resources and volunteer management. Currently serving as the Human Resources Manager at United Way of Asheville & Buncombe County since February 2021, Michelle has implemented comprehensive HR processes, managed payroll, benefits, and recruitment, and is involved in employee relations and engagement initiatives. Previously, Michelle held the role of Volunteer Engagement Director at the same organization, overseeing the recruitment and training of 3,000 volunteers annually. Other notable positions include Program Manager for HandsOn Northwest North Carolina, where Michelle developed national volunteer programs, and various roles in educational support, including teaching assistant and program assistant. Michelle holds a Master's degree in International Studies from North Carolina State University and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and International Studies from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
