Mcs Waneka Johnson

Waneka Johnson, MCS, serves as the Volunteer and Project Manager at the United Way of Central Alabama since October 2021, where responsibilities include overseeing volunteer placements, maintaining volunteer databases, and fostering community partnerships. Previously, Waneka held roles at Horizons School as the Career Services Coordinator, successfully recruiting employers for internships for individuals with developmental delays, and at The Dannon Project as Youth Director, managing a team and ensuring program quality while providing support to previously incarcerated individuals. Waneka holds multiple degrees from Capella University, including an MBA in Human Resources Management, and a Master’s Degree in Counselor Education, along with a Bachelor of Science in Biology from The University of Alabama in Huntsville.
