Christy Apisa currently serves as the Community Impact Manager at United Way of Central Florida since June 2019, focusing on resource development. Prior to this role, Christy worked at Catholic Charities Wichita from March 2017 to March 2019 as an Advocate and Intake and Admissions Specialist. Additionally, Christy coordinated Adult Education (ESL) programs at the International Rescue Committee during 2016-2017 as part of an AmeriCorps VISTA service. In 2015, Christy was a Temporary Antislavery Administrator at the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center, supporting events and partnerships. Experience also includes serving as a Student Recruitment Ambassador at Gardner-Webb University from 2012 to 2015, enhancing communication and office skills, and as a Summer Reading Club Administrator at Washington-Centerville Public Library in 2012, managing a program for over 3,000 children. Christy holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology from Gardner-Webb University.
