Julie Kilger

Julie Kilger has a diverse work experience, primarily in the education and nonprofit sectors. Julie joined the United Way of Central Indiana in 2022 and currently holds the position of Early Care and Learning Director. Prior to this, they served as the Senior Manager of K-12 Initiatives at the same organization.

From 2019 to 2022, Julie worked at the KID Museum, where they held the role of Senior Director of Program Operations. Before that, they were the Director of Program Operations at the same organization from 2019 to 2020.

Julie's career also includes significant contributions at Teach For America. From 2016 to 2019, they served as the Managing Director of Teacher Leadership Development. Prior to this, they held various positions such as Interim Managing Director, Director of Teaching and Learning, and Manager of Teacher Leadership Development.

Julie began their career in 2010 as an Indianapolis Corps Member at Teach For America before transitioning to Avondale Meadows Academy. At Avondale Meadows Academy, they worked as a Second Grade Teacher from 2012 to 2014 and as a Kindergarten Teacher from 2010 to 2012.

Julie Kilger completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in History from New York University from the years 2006 to 2010. Following this, they pursued a Master of Arts in Teaching at Marian University from 2010 to 2012.
