Margaret Matray

Margaret Matray is a seasoned communications professional with extensive experience in journalism and reporting. Currently serving as Communications Manager at United Way of Central Indiana since September 2021, Margaret has previously worked as a Reporter for The Virginian-Pilot, where coverage focused on courts and public safety across southeastern Virginia. Earlier roles include Features Reporter at Casper Star-Tribune, where Margaret crafted stories about Wyoming’s communities, and internships at Richmond Times-Dispatch, St. Louis Post-Dispatch, and The Citizens' Voice, gaining a wealth of knowledge and skills in news writing and reporting. Margaret holds a Bachelor of Science in Journalism from Northwestern University - Medill, with a minor in Italian.
