Kristin Young

Kristin Young is a dedicated professional with extensive experience in nonprofit management and community development. Currently serving as the Corporate Engagement Officer at United Way of Central Iowa since March 2020, Kristin focuses on enhancing relationships with individuals and organizations to support the United to Thrive strategic framework. Prior to this role, Kristin was the Community Development Director at Youth Emergency Services & Shelter of Iowa from June 2011 to March 2020, where efforts were directed towards providing vital services to over 1,500 children annually. Earlier experience includes an internship at Mile High United Way, where responsibilities encompassed grant proposal development and donor relations. Kristin holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Work from Wartburg College, earned between 2007 and 2011.
