Rodd Smith is an accomplished public health professional with extensive experience in leadership and community engagement. Currently serving as the Executive Director of Community Investments at the United Way of Forsyth County since January 2019, Rodd oversees the organization's Place Based Initiative. Prior to this role, Rodd held the position of Assistant Health Director / Director of Population Health in Mecklenburg County, where responsibilities included promoting health and wellness through policy advocacy and public health initiatives. Rodd also directed coalitions and community engagement efforts at the Forsyth County Department of Public Health, focusing on health disparities and community education. Earlier experience includes roles as an Adolescent Pregnancy Prevention Specialist and Male Responsibility Educator. Rodd holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Public Health Education and Promotion from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
