Julie Goodsell Marsiglio

Julie Goodsell Marsiglio has a long history of work experience. Julie began their career in 1994 as a Staff Assistant at the Monroe County Republican Committee. In 1995, they worked as a Direct Mail Production Assistant at the National Republican Congressional Committee. In 1996, they worked as a Finance Coordinator at Rosenberger for Congress, where they raised more than $250,000 for the candidate through special events, direct mail, and political action committee outreach. That same year, they began working at PhotoAssist, Inc. as a Sr. Photo Research Manager and rose to the position of Senior Photo Editor within three years. In 2000, they began working at the Rochester Institute of Technology as a Sr. Associate Director of Alumni Relations, where they led the alumni chapter program and increased giving to the Institute. In 2006, they began working at Our Lady of Mercy School for Young Women as the Director of Development, where they established relationships with alumnae, families, and friends of Mercy and managed a $12 million capital campaign. In 2013, they began working at Wittenberg University as a Sr. Associate Director of Leadership Giving, where they worked to engage donors and exceeded their fundraising goal by 170%. In 2016, they began working at Hillside Family of Agencies as the Director of Major Gifts and Regional Development, where they led a team of three management level professionals and created new donor relationships. In 2018, they began working at the United Way of Greater Rochester and the Finger Lakes as the Director of Major Gifts & Strategic Fundraising Initiatives, where they are responsible for raising 20% of the overall yearly campaign.

Julie Goodsell Marsiglio attended Our Lady of Mercy School for Young Women from 1986 to 1990, where they completed a College/University Preparatory and Advanced High School/Secondary Diploma Program. Julie then attended Wittenberg University from 1990 to 1994, where they earned a BA in Political Science. Most recently, they attended Leadership Rochester from 2019 to 2020.
