Catherine Cefalu

Catherine Cefalu is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in prospect research and fundraising. Currently serving as the Manager of Prospect Research at United Way of Metro Chicago since October 2019, Catherine focuses on enhancing the organization's major gifts program. Prior to this role, Catherine was a founding member and Stage Manager at Accidental Shakespeare Company from December 2010 to August 2021, where responsibilities included fundraising and administrative support. Catherine's extensive background at The University of Chicago, spanning over a decade, includes positions as Lead Prospect Research Analyst, Senior Research Analyst, Research Analyst, and Project Assistant, contributing significantly to prospect identification and team coordination for fundraising initiatives. Catherine holds an Executive MA in Philanthropic Studies from Indiana University Indianapolis and a BA in Psychology from SUNY Geneseo.
