Jeffrey Gawel, PMP, CSM has extensive work experience in various leadership and technology roles. Jeffrey is currently the Chief Information & Technology Officer at United Way of Metro Chicago. Previously, they worked as an Adjunct Lecturer and later as the Research Associate and Director of Data and Performance Management Initiatives at the University of Illinois at Chicago.

Jeffrey has also held positions at Illinois Action for Children, where they served as the Vice President of Technology & Partnerships and later as the Chief Information Officer. Prior to that, they were the Owner of JMG Consulting, where they provided data and technology-related project management and consulting services.

Jeffrey also worked at Chapin Hall at the University of Chicago as the Workforce Information Systems Implementation Director and later as the Director of Information Technology. At the Metropolitan Pier & Exposition Authority, Jeffrey held various roles including Sr. Director of Information & Technology Services, Director of Business Systems, and Project Manager - Strategic Systems.

Earlier in their career, Jeffrey was a Project Manager at the City of Chicago, where they managed the configuration and implementation of Oracle ERP software. Overall, they bring a wealth of experience in technology leadership, project management, and data analysis to their current role.

Jeffrey Gawel, PMP, CSM has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Psychology from the University of Illinois Chicago. Jeffrey also holds a Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree in Public Administration from the same university. In 2018 to 2019, they attended the Erikson Institute and completed the Early Childhood Leadership Academy, where they were recognized as a Barbara Bowman Leadership Fellow. Furthermore, Jeffrey has obtained certifications as a Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) from the Scrum Alliance and as a Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute.
