Shayene Weatherspoon

Shayene Weatherspoon has a diverse work experience in the social services sector. Shayene began their career as a Case Worker at Partnership for Strong Families, where they provided intensive case management services to at-risk children and families involved in the dependency court system. Shayene then joined Adopt-A-Family of the Palm Beaches, Inc., where they held multiple roles, including Family Advocate, Case Manager, and eventually Director of Program Operations. In these positions, they assisted families at risk of homelessness by providing budgeting assistance, counseling, and referrals for community services. Most recently, Shayene worked as the Director of Community Impact at United Way of Palm Beach County.

Shayene Weatherspoon has a diverse educational background. Shayene earned their Bachelor of Science degree in Family, Youth, and Community Sciences from the University of Florida in 2007. During the same period, they also completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from the same institution. Shayene further pursued their education and obtained a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from Florida Atlantic University in 2014.
