Natalie Slater has a diverse range of work experience. Natalie worked as a Director of Equitable Community Engagement at the United Way of Salt Lake starting in July 2023. Prior to that, they were a Digital Matters Graduate Fellow at the University of Utah from January to May 2023. From February to November 2022, they served as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Utah. Natalie also worked as a Health Justice Fellowship Manager at The Rick and Susan Sontag Center for Collaborative Creativity (the Hive) from April to September 2021. Natalie was a Volunteer Manager and Program Coordinator at Phoenix Bikes from July 2019 to May 2021. Natalie also gained experience as a Communications Intern at the Institute for Ecological Civilization from January to May 2019. Natalie worked as an Environmental Education Intern at Chino Basin Water Conservation District & Waterwise Community Center in 2017. In 2016, Natalie interned as a Foundations Intern at Rare, and in 2015, they interned at NOAA: National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration as part of the Office of National Marine Sanctuaries. Overall, Natalie has demonstrated a strong interest in community engagement, research, environmental conservation, and communication throughout their work experience.
Natalie Slater pursued their education in a chronological order. Starting from 2015 to 2019, they attended Pomona College where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Environmental Analysis. Later on, from 2021 to 2023, they enrolled at the University of Utah to pursue a Master of Science (MS) degree in Environmental Humanities.
