Andrea Meinema-Macklin currently serves as the Director of Community Impact - Investments and Community Partnerships at the United Way of South Central Michigan since October 2021, after a prior role as Associate Director of Community Impact. Additional leadership roles include serving on the Governing Board of Cradle Kalamazoo and the Coordinating Council for Kalamazoo Blueprint for Peace. Previously, Andrea held the position of Executive Director at First Day Shoe Fund and worked as a Volunteer Coordinator at Kalamazoo Loaves & Fishes. Earlier experience includes roles at The Salvation Army and as an Office Assistant at Western Michigan University. Andrea earned a Bachelor of Arts in International/Global Studies and Sociology from Western Michigan University, with an additional internship experience at Stellenbosch University.
