Shakita Johnson

Shakita Johnson, Esq., LBSW, serves as the Executive Director of the Area Agency on Aging Tarrant County at United Way of Tarrant County since June 2021. Prior to this role, Shakita Johnson held the position of Administrative Law Judge at the Texas State Office of Administrative Hearings from July 2019 to May 2021 and worked as a Regional Attorney at HHSC from December 2015 to July 2019. Shakita Johnson has also practiced law as an Attorney and Counselor at Law at The Law Office of Shakita M. Johnson in 2015 and held leadership roles including Director of Social Services at Heartland Healthcare and Administrator at Fort Worth Manor. Additional experience includes serving as a Nursing Facility Administrator at Sava Senior Care. Shakita Johnson earned a Doctor of Law (J.D.) from Texas A&M University School of Law and a Bachelor of Social Work from the University of North Texas.
