Marci Martinez-Howey

Associate Vice President Diversity Equity Inclusion at United Way of the Greater Lehigh Valley

Marci Martinez-Howey has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Marci started their career in 1998 at T-Mobile, where they worked as a Technical Support Supervisor for 14 years. In this role, they managed performance results and provided developmental feedback to their direct reports. Marci also focused on coaching and developing their team based on the company values.

Following their time at T-Mobile, Marci joined Wells Fargo in 2012 as a Store Manager. Here, they oversaw a diverse team of 12 members and was responsible for meeting the service and sales needs of business and consumer customers. Marci achieved this through ongoing coaching and development of their employees and aligning their goals with business needs.

Since 2016, Marci has been associated with the United Way of the Greater Lehigh Valley. Initially, they served as the Sr. Director of Finance, where they managed and oversaw daily finance functions. Marci also supervised, coached, and developed the finance team, ensuring the accuracy of financial records and effectiveness of internal controls. In January 2022, they transitioned to the role of Associate Vice President Diversity Equity Inclusion, where they currently work.

Marci Martinez-Howey has a diverse education history. Marci obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Applied Psychology from Cedar Crest College. From 2018 to 2020, they attended Lehigh Carbon Community College, where they focused on Accounting and Finance. Marci also holds a High School Diploma from Allentown Central Catholic High School, which they earned from 1992 to 1996.

In addition to their formal education, Marci has obtained a Diversity and Inclusion certificate from eCornell, which they received in August 2022.
