Shamikia Adkins is an experienced Community Engagement Manager and Interim Director at the United Way of the Mid-South, where Shamikia has developed high-impact partnerships with stakeholders and implemented strategies to enhance volunteer engagement and community outreach. Previous roles include Senior Associate positions focused on volunteer engagement, projects, and events, demonstrating a strong ability to manage and elevate community initiatives. Shamikia also served as the Director of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging at the Junior League of Memphis, receiving notable accolades such as the President’s Award and a DEIB Grant. Shamikia's educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Howard University and ongoing studies for a Master of Professional Studies at The University of Memphis.
