Chris Bongartz

Chris Bongartz is an experienced technology leader currently serving as Vice President of Technology at UnitedHealth Group, a role held since October 2007. In this position, Chris holds overall accountability for IT Infrastructure profit and loss and operations management for OptumRx, overseeing a $100M+ annual budget while managing a team of over 300 IT professionals to support a ~$60B business. Prior to this, Chris held IT Manager positions at MidAmerica Mortgage Corp., Vision-Ease Lens, and Buckbee Mears Corp., establishing a strong foundation in IT leadership. Chris holds a Bachelor's degree in Economics and Political Science from Mansfield University of Pennsylvania, earned between 1993 and 1997.
