Nina Bowes

Nina Bowes has a wealth of experience in the aged care and healthcare sector. Nina started their career at the Council of the Ageing Australia as a Policy Officer, where they focused on national policy issues related to aged care reform. Nina then joined the Victorian Healthcare Association, where they held various roles, including Manager Member Projects & Policy Advisor and Manager, Aged Care. In these positions, they were responsible for policy development, advocacy, and project management in the areas of ageing, aged care, and disability. Currently, Nina is working at Uniting AgeWell as the Director of Strategy & Innovation, where they oversee the coordination, implementation, and evaluation of the organization's strategic plans. Nina has also held previous roles in research, innovation, and advocacy within Uniting AgeWell. Overall, Nina Bowes has a strong background in strategic planning, policy development, and capacity building within the aged care and healthcare sector.

Nina Bowes has a diverse education history. Nina obtained a Bachelor of Music degree in Classical Orchestral Performance from the Victorian College of the Arts in 2005. Nina then pursued a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Legal Studies, General from La Trobe University, which they completed in 2009. In 2012, they attained a Masters of Social Policy degree from the University of Melbourne.

Nina also focused on professional development and obtained several certifications. In 2019, they became a Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) and a Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) through the Scrum Alliance.

Furthermore, they underwent further training and specialized courses to enhance their skills. In 2016, they completed the Governance Foundations for Not-For-Profit Directors program at the Australian Institute of Company Directors. Nina also acquired Management & Leadership Training from the Australian Institute of Management in 2016. In 2018, they participated in the Human Centred Design Short Course offered by Meld Studios. Additionally, they attended the Research Funding and Grants Applications Masterclass at Knowledge Translation Australia in the same year.

Lastly, Nina Bowes completed the Teacher of English to Speakers of Other Languages program at the Australasian Training Academy in 2010.
